Senior Digital Enablement Consultant contract role establishing an enterprise Digital Enablement capability focused on Microsoft 365 governance, Power Platform automation, citizen development, Copilot governance, process modernization, and organizational adoption.

Hybrid role in Winnipeg, with three to four days remote and one to two days onsite each week

Initial nine-month contract anticipated to begin September 28, 2026, with a potential extension

What & Why:

Our client, a large Canadian organization, is establishing a Digital Enablement capability to replace fragmented manual and automated processes with secure, scalable, and governed Microsoft solutions. The consultant will define the strategy, operating model, governance, standards, services, and adoption approach needed to support enterprise automation and responsible self-service innovation.

Who:

The Senior Digital Enablement Consultant will work with business leaders, technology teams, architecture, privacy, information security, and other organizational stakeholders. The consultant will assess the current setting, define the future-state Digital Enablement model, and help transition the resulting capability to a permanent internal team. Expected deliverables include a Digital Enablement Strategy and Roadmap, operating model, governance framework, service catalogue, intake and prioritization process, Microsoft 365 automation standards, reference architectures, citizen-developer guardrails, Copilot and agent-governance guidelines, Community of Practice model, maturity assessment, training and knowledge-transfer plan, and transition-to-operations plan.

You:

You combine enterprise transformation leadership with Microsoft platform expertise, process improvement, governance, change management, and executive facilitation.

Critical experience requirements include:

At least 10 years leading digital transformation or business-process modernization initiatives in complex organizations

Strong experience with process mapping, workflow optimization, automation-opportunity assessments,



and value-realization planning

Five or more years of enterprise automation experience

Experience establishing or maturing a Digital Enablement, Automation, Low-Code, Innovation, or Centre of Excellence practice

Experience designing enterprise governance for digital solutions, automation, citizen development, Copilot, or AI-enabled technologies

Expert knowledge of SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, Power Automate, Power Apps, Microsoft Copilot, and Copilot Agents

Experience developing enterprise standards, reference architectures, guardrails, and best practices for secure, scalable, maintainable, and supportable solutions

Experience establishing intake, assessment, prioritization, and portfolio-management processes for digital solutions

Experience implementing citizen-developer programs and governance models

Experience developing communities of practice, training programs, adoption strategies, and knowledge-transfer plans

Demonstrated ability to engage diverse business and technical groups, facilitate executive workshops, build consensus, and influence senior leadership

Strong change-management capabilities, including stakeholder readiness, adoption, issue resolution, and organizational capability building

Excellent analytical, facilitation, organizational, problem-solving, presentation, written, and verbal communication skills

Ability to manage multiple workstreams and priorities concurrently

Nice to have:

Higher-education, public-sector, or large decentralized organization experience

Experience working with Privacy and Information Security Officers

Experience in multi-union environments

Relevant degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field

Microsoft Power Platform Solution Architect Expert, Copilot for Microsoft 365, or equivalent certification

CBAP, CCBA, ECBA, PMI-PBA, PMP, PRINCE2, or comparable certification

Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Teams, SharePoint, and Visio

Compensation:

Competitive hourly contract rate based on experience, qualifications, Microsoft platform expertise, and overall fit.
