The University of Lethbridge Building Maintenance department is seeking a skilled Events Set Up Operator (Facilities Operations 5) to join our team as soon as possible. In this role, you will report to the Manager of Building Maintenance and Grounds and will be responsible for fulfilling work orders related to event setups and takedowns.
Events at our university often have tight schedules, demanding excellent organizational skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven workplace. You will manage deliveries of event equipment like tables and chairs on a daily basis, ensuring efficient storage room inventories to promptly respond to event requests.
As you will interact with campus stakeholders regularly, strong communication skills are crucial. While event work orders typically cover all necessary items, adjustments may be needed on the event day, requiring collaboration with stakeholders to ensure setups are correct.
You will also coordinate with Building Maintenance Operators for larger event setups and takedowns, and occasionally work evenings and weekends to accommodate various event needs.
During downtime from events, you will assist Building Maintenance Operators with tasks such as changing lights, office moves, and other general maintenance duties.
This role offers a dynamic environment where you will contribute to the smooth operation of university events while supporting broader maintenance efforts. If you thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative setting and possess strong organizational and communication skills, we encourage you to apply for this position.
