Work Term: Permanent Work Language: English Hours: 40 hours per week Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years Work site environment Outdoors All weather conditions Work setting Golf course Golf Tasks Read blueprints or other instructions to determine work requirements Trim trees to achieve the desired pruning objective such as crown cleaning, thinning, raising, reduction, restoration, espalier pruning, vista pruning Manage landscaping projects Prepare proposals Estimate costs Survey and assess designated sites Prepare contracts and tenders Water and tend to plants, lawns and/or gardens Apply fertilizers, fungicides, herbicides, pesticides and other lawn care products Apply various treatments such as pruning, spraying, repairing damaged areas and injecting with treatment solutions Assess the health of lawns Direct crews who maintain the health and appearance of golf courses and their surrounding landscapes Examine trees and shrubs to diagnose problems and disease Plan and co-ordinate the growth and use of plants for landscaping,
