Labour Relations Specialists are responsible for providing advanced knowledge as a strategic partner and subject matter expert in the design, delivery, and implementation of human resource services and strategies to improve operations, achieve goals, and resolve issues. The Specialist provides solutions for labour relations issues including interpretation, application and administration of collective agreements and relevant legislation, labour relations and conflict resolution advice in support of managing workplace matters, strategic labour relations advice and support for organization change and strategic initiatives, conducting the grievance process, negotiating and documenting grievance settlements, preparing for arbitration and other adjudications, contributing to labour relations policy development, conducting workplace investigations, preparing for and participating in collective bargaining, and providing training on labour relations matters within the organization.

Education Business Administration diploma (DBA)
Bachelor of Commerce (BComm)
Juris Doctor (JD)
Industrial Relations degree/diploma
Masters of Law
Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA)
Human Resources diploma
Licenses Valid Class 5 driver's license
Other Education and Training Undergraduate degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Licensed, and in valuable standing, with regulatory body, if applicable
