ROLE
Under the direction of the Manager, Patient Flow & Scheduling, the Bed Allocator will act as a liaison between admitting and receiving parties, and being responsible for coordinating room utilization care requirements.

REQUIRED EDUCATION & CERTIFICATION(S)
One (1)-year Medical Office Administration certificate

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE(S)
Up to six months’ previous clerical experience in a healthcare setting
Well-developed keyboarding/computer skills and experience using Meditech and Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
Ability for self-direction and to work independently exercising sound judgment with minimal supervision
Effective time management and organizational skills with an ability to work well under pressure, prioritize and manage multiple demands in a fast-paced environment
Demonstrated initiative,



stewardship, and teamwork skills
Demonstrated excellence in problem solving and critical thinking skills
Excellent customer focus with demonstrated ability to work well with fellow staff, internal and external customers
Excellent interpersonal and verbal skills
Ability to work in an inter-professional environment
Ability to multi-task while under pressure

DESIRED SKILLS, EXPERIENCE(S) & EDUCATION
Previous Meditech experience preferred
