Join Georgian Waste Services as a proactive Health and Safety Specialist in Barrie, ON. This role focuses on enhancing safety programs and compliance across multiple locations including Midland and Orillia.

The Health and Safety Specialist will review existing policies and develop health and safety programs to align with Ontario Ministry of Labour standards. You will work with management and employees to foster a solid safety culture and establish best practices. This position requires flexibility for site visits and travel to various locations as required.

Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct comprehensive reviews of safety policies and procedures
• Update safety documentation for compliance with legislation
• Identify safety gaps and recommend corrective actions




• Perform workplace inspections, audits, and risk assessments
• Provide guidance on health and safety matters for managers and employees

Requirements:
• Previous experience in a Health and Safety role
• Solid understanding of Ontario legislation and compliance
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities
• Valid driver's license for travel between locations
