Embark on a rewarding journey as a Mental Health Social Service Worker with HealthOPM. Support vulnerable clients in their daily lives and recovery processes across various care settings.
This hands-on role requires working within community-based mental health and addictions organizations, where you'll provide 24/7 care in residential group homes and treatment programs. Expect to assist clients with daily living activities and build therapeutic relationships to support recovery goals.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support clients with hygiene, meals, and daily routines
• Assist with medication prompting and monitoring
• Build therapeutic relationships and encourage recovery
• Maintain a safe and supportive living workplace
• Respond to crises with de-escalation techniques
Requirements:
• Diploma in DSW, SSW, or related fields
• Experience in mental health or addictions preferred
• Valid CPR/First Aid certification
• Completed Vulnerable Sector Check
• Access to a vehicle preferred
