Logistics Manager

Job Details
The Manager of Logistics will be involved with all transportation modes relevant to cement. Cost management, logistical and equipment efficiencies will be a primary focus.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Negotiate with railroads, truckers, railcar leasing companies, toll blending facilities, warehouses and transloaders.

Work with and support customer service and region managers on any issues relating to above.

Investigate where new terminals may be required and take lead role in launching them.

Travel with Region Managers when needed for logistical support.

Oversee management of FWC Northampton Terminal along with closely monitoring third party terminals that we utilize.

Assist in arranging car repairs to be made at terminals and customer locations.

Monitor and update terminal and freight costs for determining mill nets.

When necessary, monitor rail service and work with railroad(s) to facilitate expedited switches and other problems that warrant priority.





Maintain spreadsheet on US monthly cement imports by country, US location and price.

Attend association logistic meetings when applicable.

Submit monthly report recapping highlights of activities.

Report to VP of Sales.

Qualifications and Skills

Should have a degree concentrating in transportation and logistics or equivalent education. Should have at least three years of experience in logistics.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
