Contribute to groundbreaking clean fusion energy at General Fusion as an Applied Physicist. Focus on analyzing plasma experiments and developing models in a collaborative onsite environment.

As part of the Applied Physics team at General Fusion, you will support the development of our magnetized target fusion power plant. The role requires analyzing diagnostic data, creating simulations, and presenting findings to diverse audiences. Ideal candidates should be self-motivated with robust communication abilities and a passion for innovative solutions. Understanding complex systems and interpreting experimental data is key for success in this position.

Key Responsibilities:
• Analyze diagnostic data from plasma experiments
• Propose experimental campaigns and simulations




• Curate and interpret experimental data effectively
• Collaborate with teams on spherical tokamak modeling
• Present findings to technical and non-technical audiences

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering physics or physics
• 1-2 years relevant experience preferred
• Strong foundation in thermodynamics and electromagnetics
• Proficiency in Python and/or C# / C++ programming
• Experience with image analysis or tomography preferred
