The primary work is statewide public health nursing consultation and systems improvement.Primary ResponsibilitiesLead statewide professional education and workforce development activities related to child and adolescent preventative health and Child and Teen Check-ups (C&TC) services to ensure high-quality health care for youth supported by Medical Assistance.Lead statewide implementation and quality improvement initiatives for the C&TC Comprehensive professional education program by providing training, consultation, and technical assistance to local and Tribal public health nurses throughout Minnesota.Provide statewide public health nursing consultation, administrative guidance, and systems leadership to support implementation of child and adolescent preventive care in alignment with statewide C&TC standards.Develop, implement, and maintain statewide C&TC resources, standards, guidance and practice recommendations consistent with national professional standards and federal EPSDT requirements.Maintain skilled proficiency and public health knowledge base in child and adolescent health and preventive care.In accordance with HR/LR Policy #1422 Telework, this position is eligible for up to 50% telework for applicants who live in Minnesota or in a bordering state within 50 miles of the assigned work location.
