We are looking for a Commissioning Program & Analytics Engineer to turn a large and technically complex commissioning program into a controlled, data-driven operation. This is not a support role. You will own the commissioning plan, track test execution, maintain issue logs, and produce the reporting that gives leadership and the project owner a explicit and accurate picture of readiness and risk at all times. This is a backbone staff position within a newly formed commissioning team.
COMMISSIONING PROGRAM & ANALYTICS ENGINEER
Full-time
This position is at the site in Regina, Saskatchewan. 14 days on / 7 days off rotation.
Key Responsibilities
Own the full commissioning plan and matrix covering systems, L-levels from L1 through L5, responsibilities, and live status tracking
Track execution of all tests and commissioning milestones, ensuring reported progress reflects actual test results and field readiness rather than scheduled activities on paper
Maintain structured issue logs for the commissioning program and equipment integration, assigning owners, deadlines, and tracking every item to closure
Build and own Cx dashboards and reporting packages for internal leadership and the project owner, highlighting critical path items, active blockers, and residual risk
Capture and analyze commissioning data including test durations, failure rates, retest counts, and vendor performance to support continuous improvement and future project planning
Support production of commissioning artifacts including test scripts, formal reports, turnover packages, and lessons learned documentation
Work closely with all commissioning leads across equipment integration, fabrication,
electrical, mechanical, and controls to ensure data and status accurately reflect what is happening in the field and fab shop
What We Are Looking For
Strong analytical and organizational skills with solid experience in project controls, data analysis, or program management in construction or commissioning environments
Ability to understand commissioning concepts including L-level frameworks, pre-functional versus functional versus integrated systems testing, and translate them into practical schedules and status metrics
Comfortable working closely with technical teams and translating complex field reality into clean, actionable data and executive-level reports
High attention to detail and a genuine bias toward fact-based reporting over optimistic narratives that make the schedule look better than it is
Strong written and verbal communication skills for producing concise, clear views of a complex program
Preferred Qualifications
5+ years in project controls, data analysis, commissioning program support, or similar roles on large construction or infrastructure projects
Experience with scheduling tools such as Primavera or Microsoft Project and reporting tools such as Excel or Power BI
Background in engineering, construction management, or a related technical discipline is preferred
Strong project controls experience is a valid and welcomed substitute for prior commissioning software platform experience
This role will own dashboards and issue logs end to end, not simply support others who own them
Prior exposure to mission-critical or large industrial commissioning environments is an asset
