Position Summary The Senior Financial Analyst, Financial Reporting is a key member of the corporate finance team responsible for supporting external financial reporting, quarterly and annual filings, consolidated financial statements, and IFRS compliance. This position will work closely with the Accounting Team, Manager Financial Reporting, and Manager Technical Accounting and provides exposure to complex accounting issues, business growth initiatives, and executive-level reporting.
Job Responsibilities
- Prepare quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements and note disclosures in accordance with IFRS.
- Support preparation of MD&A;, earnings support schedules, Board reporting packages and public-company reporting requirements.
- Coordinate reporting deliverables with the corporate accounting team to ensure timely and accurate reporting cycles.
- Partner closely with the Manager Technical Accounting on implementation of new accounting standards and technical accounting assessments.
- Assist with accounting analysis for acquisitions, financing transactions, foreign exchange, impairment assessments, share-based compensation and other complex accounting matters.
- Perform analytical reviews, variance analysis and trend analysis of operating and financial results.
- Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for quarterly reviews and year-end external audits.
- Maintain strong reporting controls,
governance standards and documentation supporting financial disclosures.
- Collaborate extensively with Accounting, Treasury, Tax, FP&A;, ESG and operational finance teams.
- Drive process improvements, automation initiatives and reporting efficiencies.
Job Qualifications
- This position requires a minimum education of a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in finance or accounting with a CPA, CA designation required.
- This position requires a minimum of five (5) years of progressive accounting, audit, financial reporting or technical accounting experience.
- Big Four public accounting audit experience strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of IFRS and public-company financial reporting requirements.
- Experience preparing or auditing consolidated financial statements.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial analysis.
- Experience in mining, natural resources or multinational public-company is considered an asset.
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in French is a strong asset.

Compensation & Total Rewards The base salary hiring range for this role is CAD $85,000 to CAD $100,000 plus a target company and individual performance based short term and long term incentive bonus, group benefit coverage and a retirement savings plan. The hiring range reflects our targeted compensation framework for the role. The final offer is determined through an evaluation of the candidate’s experience, capabilities, and potential impact, along with consideration of internal equity and benchmark market data for similar positions.
