As a global leader in cybersecurity, CrowdStrike protects the people, processes and technologies that drive modern organizations. Since 2011, our mission hasn't changed — we're here to stop breaches, and we've redefined up-to-date security with the world's most advanced AI-native platform. We work on large scale distributed systems, processing almost 3 trillion events per day and this traffic is growing daily.
Our customers span all industries, and they count on CrowdStrike to keep their businesses running, their communities safe and their lives moving forward. CrowdStrikers drive their careers through flexibility and autonomy while also being expected to contribute to a culture of responsible AI adoption, experimentation, and innovation. We're always looking to add talented CrowdStrikers to the team who have limitless passion, a relentless focus on innovation and a fanatical commitment to our customers, our community and each other.
This role owns the part of CrowdStrike's Identity Protection product that reduces that exposure and shrinks the blast radius when an identity is compromised: understanding an identity's full digital footprint and the assets and other identities it connects to, finding where risk concentrates, prioritizing what matters most, and turning that into action. This is a hybrid position requiring at least 2 days a week in the office at our NYC, Boston, Arlington or Toronto, Canada office locations. Own how Identity Protection finds and prioritizes identity risk: define the strategy for detecting risk across every identity type (human, service account, AI agent) and turning raw findings into a ranked, actionable view of what matters most.
Define how identities relate to each other and to the resources they touch: your work depends on a clear model of how accounts, groups, devices, workloads, and AI agents connect, and how those connections reveal risk that isolated findings miss. Drive identity risk as shared context across the security stack: every detection, alert, and access decision is better when it's informed by what you know about the identity behind it.
Use AI agents as a core part of how you work: research, analysis, spec iteration, and customer synthesis should run through agentic tooling as a default, not an occasional experiment. Hands-on background in IAM, identity governance, privileged access, or a closely adjacent technical domain. "Real understanding of how identity relationships work: account inheritance, entitlement propagation, transitive privilege paths, cross-tenant trust.
Familiarity with non-human identity: service accounts, workload identity, machine credentials, SPIFFE/SPIRE or equivalent standards.
Fluency with core identity protocols (oAuth, OIDC, SAML) and where their implementation creates exploitable risk. You've thought about what it means to govern an AI agent the way you govern a service account, and where that analogy breaks down. Comfort working directly with graph structures and data models: writing queries to pull the data you need, reading results critically, and knowing when something looks wrong.
You won't design the database, but you won't wait for an analyst to get you the answer either. 5+ years in product management, with proven experience both bringing products 0 to 1 and scaling them once shipped. ~ AI agents are a core part of how you work today: research, analysis, spec iteration, customer synthesis, stakeholder prep.
Strong instinct for simplification: you've taken something genuinely complex (a risk model, an entitlement graph, a remediation workflow) and made it usable by someone who doesn't live in it every day, whether in a product UI or a conversation. ~ When you come to a product discussion, you bring a working prototype or a concrete visual, not a description of one. Able to explain a complex identity or risk concept in plain language to whoever is in front of you, whether that's an engineer, an executive, or a customer's compliance team. Practical familiarity with how identity providers (Entra ID, Okta, Ping, and similar) are configured, where they create risk, and how attackers exploit gaps in authentication policy, token handling, and federation.
Understanding of cloud vendor IAM models (AWS IAM, Azure RBAC, GCP IAM) and how misconfigured cloud identities expand the attack surface beyond what traditional directory-based security covers. Ability to reason about the combined attack surface when a human's cloud IAM role, Entra account, and a service account running on their behalf all connect to the same sensitive resource.
Bonus Points: Experience treating compliance requirements as a product design constraint rather than a legal review step.
