Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year Tasks Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions, using computer equipment, global positioning systems (GPS) equipment, or other navigation devices, to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment Perform brake adjustments Perform emergency roadside repairs Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle Receive and relay information to central dispatch Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi trailer trucks) Type of trucking and equipment Tractor-trailer Communication systems experience Citizens band (CB) radio Operate GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment Employment terms options Early morning Employment terms options Evening Morning Night Day Work Term: Permanent Work Language: English Hours: 40 to 50 hours per week
