Lead the charge in open source security as a Staff Vulnerability Management Engineer at Chainguard. This remote-first role focuses on managing vulnerabilities and coordinating industry standards.

At Chainguard, you will drive technical leadership in addressing vulnerabilities stemming from frontier models. Serving as an individual contributor, you will oversee thousands of vulnerabilities weekly, manage reporting to upstream maintainers, and calibrate response processes. Your expertise will guide our collaboration with multiple stakeholders in the open source community.

Key Responsibilities:
• Own measurement and reporting of novel vulnerabilities
• Calibrate response processes to emerging security trends
• Manage vulnerability disclosures to upstream projects




• Oversee the CNA program for CVE assignments
• Coordinate embargoes with customers and engineering teams

Requirements:
• 7+ years in software security or vulnerability management
• Robust understanding of responsible disclosure practices
• Expertise in pipeline automation for large-scale operations
• Experience with open source community interactions
• Familiarity with industry standards bodies and working groups
