**Job Title: Millwright**
**Job Description**
This role focuses on maintaining and repairing mills, lathes, CNC machines, and other machine shop equipment in a machining environment.

You will perform preventive maintenance, respond to equipment breakdowns, and support safe, efficient production operations.

As the sole maintenance professional on the afternoon shift, you will handle both production machinery and general building maintenance as needed.
**Responsibilities**
Perform preventive maintenance on mills, lathes, CNC machines, and other machine shop equipment to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.

Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and work closely with machinists to diagnose issues and complete repairs safely and efficiently.

Troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems, including hydraulics and pneumatics, using technical documentation and blueprints.

Assist with operating and supporting material handling equipment such as forklifts and overhead cranes when required.

Carry out general building maintenance tasks, including basic carpentry and plumbing work, to ensure the facility remains safe and functional.

Interpret and work from mechanical and electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to complete installations and repairs.

Support installation, setup, and alignment of new or relocated machinery and equipment within the facility.

Perform basic electrical work within your competency and licensing, and collaborate with licensed electricians for more complex tasks.

Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including preventive maintenance tasks, repairs, and parts used.

Follow all safety procedures, lockout/tagout practices, and company policies while maintaining a clean and organized work area.
**Essential Skills**
Valid 433A millwright license.
5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.

Hands-on experience working with CNC machines and machine shop equipment.

Strong mechanical aptitude with proven experience in troubleshooting and repairing production machinery.

Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics in an industrial setting.

Basic carpentry and plumbing skills for facility and equipment-related maintenance tasks.

**Work Environment**
The facility employs approximately 87 people and operates as a machining environment focused on mills, lathes, and CNC equipment.

The workplace is climate controlled, providing a consistent and comfortable temperature throughout the year.

The environment is fairly loud and resembles an automotive setting in terms of noise levels and cleanliness, with an emphasis on maintaining an orderly and professional shop.

This position works straight afternoon shifts from 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.

You will work around forklifts, cranes, and other industrial equipment, following established safety procedures and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment as required by shop policies.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Permanent position based out of KITCHENER, ON.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $83200.00 - $93600.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
**Workplace Type**
This is a fully onsite position in KITCHENER,ON.
