We are seeking a motivated early-career Chemical or Process Engineer-In-Training to join our Water/Wastewater team in Calgary.
This role is ideal for recent graduates or candidates with 0-2 years of industry experience who are eager to apply engineering principles to real-world water treatment and process optimization challenges.
The successful candidate will support process improvement initiatives, ensure operational efficiency, and maintain compliance with safety and environmental standards.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the design, analysis, and optimization of water and wastewater treatment processes
Monitor plant operations and collect/process data to improve performance and efficiency
Support troubleshooting of equipment and process issues in production environments
Participate in process design calculations, simulations, and documentation
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, maintenance, and quality
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
Contribute to continuous improvement and cost-reduction initiatives
Prepare technical reports, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and process documentation
* Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related field
* 0-2 years of relevant experience (co-op or internship experience considered an asset)
* Fundamental understanding of process engineering principles, thermodynamics, and fluid mechanics
* Robust analytical and problem-solving skills
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with engineering software (e.g., Aspen HYSYS, MATLAB, AutoCAD) is an asset
* Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
