**Job Title: Production Assembler**
**Job Description**
The Production Assembler works as part of a collaborative production line team to assemble, test, and pack high-tech electronic products.
In this role, you follow detailed diagrams and standard operating procedures to add chemicals to boards, perform final assembly, use hand tools, and complete documentation on a computer.
You contribute directly to the quality and reliability of advanced electronic assemblies in a clean, organized, and fast-paced manufacturing environment.
**Work Environment**
You will work in a large production facility with multiple departments on the production floor.
The environment is organized, clean, and generally quiet, though it can be louder during morning shifts and quieter in the afternoon due to operating machinery and equipment.
Team members may occasionally be exposed to dust, solder, metals, higher noise levels from machinery, and physical hazards associated with moving equipment and machine parts, with appropriate protective measures in place.

You will be part of a larger production team and collaborate closely with colleagues in a structured, process-driven setting.
The role is primarily station-based and seated, with regular use of computers to access Share
Point, diagrams, instructions, and testing tools.
You will use hand tools such as screwdrivers and torque tools as part of daily tasks.
Personal protective equipment is provided, including a smock, shoe covers, ear plugs, and goggles, and you must wear closed-toe shoes while on the production floor.
The position is on the second shift, running from 3:30 PM to 12:00 AM, with the requirement to train on the day shift for a few months before transitioning to the regular schedule.
**Responsibilities**
Work as part of a production line team to add chemicals to boards, test them, and prepare them for packing.
Perform final assembly and packing of products according to standard operating procedures and quality standards.
Install, mount, and fasten parts, components, wiring, and harnesses to sub-assemblies and final assemblies.
Work at an assigned station, primarily in a seated position, to complete daily assembly tasks.
Use a computer to access Share
Point, pull up assigned assemblies, and follow on-screen diagrams and written instructions.
Follow detailed diagrams and assembly documentation with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
Use hand tools such as screwdrivers and torque tools, including changing bits as required for different tasks.
Complete required paperwork and electronic documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
Adhere to all standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety guidelines, and quality requirements at all times.
Handle and lift items up to 40 lbs on a non-repetitive basis as needed during assembly and packing.
Accurately distinguish and work with different colours when assembling and inspecting components.
Support a fast-paced production environment by meeting tight deadlines and daily production targets.
Collaborate with team members to maintain a positive, cooperative, and productive work atmosphere.
Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow all facility cleanliness and safety rules.
Potentially assist in other production areas such as surface mount technology (SMT), hand soldering, testing, or inventory as needed.
In testing-related tasks, use computer-based testing tools, run tests, and document results accurately.
Participate in cross-training opportunities to learn new assembly processes and support multiple departments.
**Essential Skills**
1–2 years of production experience in a manufacturing or assembly workplace.
Proficiency using hand tools such as screwdrivers and torque tools, including changing bits.
Strong English communication skills, with the ability to read, understand, and follow assembly documentation and diagrams.
Good computer skills, including the ability to use Share
Point and complete extensive electronic paperwork and documentation.
Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and changing priorities.
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs on a non-repetitive basis.
Ability to accurately distinguish different colours for assembly and inspection tasks.
Comfort working with chemicals, assembly materials, and production equipment in a manufacturing setting.
Ability to work effectively in a team setting and contribute to a positive, cooperative culture.
Flexibility and willingness to train on a day shift before transitioning to the second shift.

**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Burnaby, BC.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $19.50 - $24.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
