The Near North District School Board is hiring for a Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing. Applicants must possess a valid Ontario College of Teachers Certificate and qualifications in teaching students with hearing challenges. Candidates will leverage technology to support accommodations and help educational staff understand student needs effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop, implement, and review Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and outside agencies




• Use technology to enhance learning for hearing-impaired students
• Facilitate communication strategies for social integration
• Assess expanded core curriculum goals for deaf learners

Requirements:
• Valid Ontario College of Teachers Certification
• Primary/Junior/Intermediate qualifications
• Experience in multidisciplinary teamwork
• Understanding of communication approaches in deaf education
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel
