**Job Title: Electrician**
**Job Description**
This role focuses on installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting industrial electrical and mechanical systems within a fast-paced food manufacturing facility.

You will perform preventive and predictive maintenance on production and packaging equipment, support equipment reliability initiatives, and work extensively with automated systems including PLCs, robotics, and refrigeration.

The position requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in refrigerated environments and on afternoon shifts.
**Responsibilities**
Install, troubleshoot, and maintain power transmission, vacuum, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to ensure reliable operation of production equipment.

Perform scheduled preventive and predictive maintenance on production and packaging machinery to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.

Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues quickly and accurately to minimize disruption to manufacturing operations.

Service, adjust, and test machines, devices, and moving parts to maintain optimal performance and safety standards.

Install, align, dismantle, and relocate stationary industrial machinery such as pumps, fans, tanks, conveyors, furnaces, and generators.

Work with automated equipment, including PLCs, robotics, motors, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and refrigeration systems, to support production needs.

Read and interpret technical drawings, electrical schematics, and layout plans to guide installation, troubleshooting, and repair activities.

Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on equipment reliability, performance, and overall manufacturing efficiency.

Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to prioritize work, coordinate repairs, and maintain clear communication about equipment status.

Follow safety procedures and best practices while working with electrical and mechanical systems in a food manufacturing environment.
**Essential Skills**
Minimum 1 year of Canadian experience in a food manufacturing environment.

Strong troubleshooting skills in electrical systems, automation, and controls.

Hands-on experience with conveyors and packaging equipment in an industrial setting.

Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, technical drawings, and layout plans.

Proficiency working with PLC-controlled equipment and automated machinery.

Knowledge of motors, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and refrigeration equipment.

Comfort working in refrigerated and fast-paced production environments.

Relevant electrical trade certification such as 442A or 309A.

Ability to perform preventive and predictive maintenance on production and packaging machines.

Strong attention to safety and adherence to industrial electrical standards.
