**Position Summary**
The Neurodiversity and Personalized Health Lab at Bloorview Research Institute, Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital is seeking a **research engineer** with expertise in machine learning/data science.

He/she/they will develop innovative algorithms that improve the understanding of neurodevelopmental conditions and contribute to development of technology-based supports for children.

In that context, he/she/they will collaborate with engineers, clinicians,



and third-party researchers and laboratories.

**Key Responsibilities**
Perform data analyses for clinical research studies.

Analyses may include cleaning/aggregating large datasets, visualizing data, statistical analysis, signal processing, machine learning, etc.

Support setup of devices and software used for data collection
Support the preparation of manuscripts, specifically methods and results sections
Work closely with multi-disciplinary team, provide updates during weekly meetings
Manage multiple on-going projects
Maintaining the privacy and security of data being analyzed by following hospital best practices and procedures
**Qualifications**
Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or related field
Familiarity with statistics, data visualization, and machine learning methods
Proficiency with Python and/or R, specifically related to statistics and machine learning
Experience analysing clinical research data,



such as physiological signals, clinical assessments, survey data, or neuroimaging data (transferable skills also considered)
Experience communicating research results, including written and oral
