Medical Laboratory Assistants perform a variety of duties such as taking blood and specimen samples from patients, preparing blood and other specimen for analysis, performing routine laboratory tests,



distributing specimens to departments and outside Laboratories, operating related equipment, entering data into the Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) and performing related clerical duties and ECG testing as required.
This is a Permanent Part Time (0.41) prospect.
Shifts of work will be scheduled day shift.

Qualfications Grade 12, successful completion of a recognized Laboratory Assistant training program, plus one year's recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Canadian Driver’s License as required by position.
Ability to type 25 WPM *5 minute invigilated typing test dated within the past 48 months from an approved institution.
