Baycrest Long-Term Care seeks a dedicated Recreationist for its Apotex Centre for the Aged. You will use your experience to design activities tailored to residents’ strengths and needs. Collaboration with various departments is essential, aiming to foster independence and well-being among residents.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute therapeutic recreation programs
• Complete necessary documentation for activities
• Participate in interprofessional team meetings
• Supervise and support volunteers in programs
• Maintain an inventory of recreational supplies
Requirements:
• Two-year College Diploma in Recreation or related field
• Minimum one year experience as a Recreationist
• Preferred membership with Therapeutic Recreation Ontario
• Knowledge in planning creative recreation activities
• Experience with geriatric care and cognitive impairments
