Be a catalyst for change with the YMCA as the Black Achievers Mentorship Coordinator in Scarborough. This full-time role focuses on enhancing mentorship programs for Black youth and communities.
The YMCA of Greater Toronto is seeking a dedicated Coordinator to lead the Black Achievers mentorship initiative. Your efforts will strengthen mentor recruitment, engagement, and development while building partnerships with diverse community organizations. You will also oversee mentor training, matching, and support, ensuring a robust mentorship experience for participants.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop cutting-edge mentor recruitment strategies
• Build partnerships with community and corporate organizations
• Design and facilitate impactful training sessions
• Coordinate mentor-mentee matching effectively
• Conduct outreach campaigns and networking events
Requirements:
• Degree in Social Work, Community Development, or related field
• 2-3 years in community engagement, volunteer coordination
• Strong understanding of anti-Black racism and its impact
• Excellent facilitation and communication skills
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
Drive impactful mentorship experiences to uplift Black youth in Scarborough's communities.
