Job Description

As a Host at Clockwork, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, embodying the high service standards of the Fairmont Royal York. Your role is crucial in creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring a seamless dining experience. Key responsibilities include:

Greet and seat guests promptly, maintaining a professional and friendly demeanour

Manage reservations, waiting lists,



and special requests efficiently

Possess comprehensive knowledge of menus, beverage lists, and hotel promotions

Maintain a clean and organised host stand

Communicate effectively with servers regarding reservations and guest needs

Assist with coat check services when necessary

Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to improving guest experiences

Adhere to health and safety procedures and hotel policies

Complete all assigned duties before concluding your shift

Promote teamwork and maintain good working relationships with all colleagues

Qualifications

Previous work experience in a restaurant/food and beverage setting

Excellent interpersonal skills and a team player attitude

Multi tasked when dealing with high volume of guest requests

Physical Aspects of Position include but are not limited to the following:

Constant standing and walking throughout shift

Frequent lifting and carrying up to 30 lbs

Constant kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting

Frequent ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps
