Compensation: $130,000 - $150,000 per year for a Red Seal Mechanic

Retirement: $3.75/hr - 100% paid by Arrow!

We are looking for a Mobile Mechanic to join our Portable Wood Processing division in Kamloops, BC.

The Mobile Mechanic is responsible for coordinating, scheduling, and performing maintenance activities for a fleet of heavy haul and bush grind trucks and equipment.

This position will perform mechanical repairs and diagnostics in the field and may move trucksand/or equipment to and from job sites and repairfacilities.

The Mechanic ensures that all fleet assets are safe, compliant, and in optimal working condition to support continuous operations.

Schedule and coordinate regular maintenance, inspections, and repairs for trucks and equipment





Perform mechanical and electrical repairs in the field (e.g., hoses, fittings, tires, lights, batteries, and basic troubleshooting)Diagnose issues and coordinate more complex repairs with certified technicians or external shops

Provide routine maintenance on tractors, trailers and mobile equipment such as excavators, graders and wheel loaders Check all equipment for proper performance and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions

May operate mobile shop vehicle to repair vehicles in field

May operate Class 1 vehicles to move units between job sites, shops, and yards as needed

Assist in recovery and transport of disabled units from remote or bush locations

Liaise with drivers, mechanics, and vendors to ensure timely service and minimal downtime

Operate equipment such as truck cab computers, 2-way radios, and telephones to exchange necessary information with bases, dispatch, supervisors, or other drivers

Complete electronic logs of working hours and of vehicle service and repair status

Ensure that all customers, co-workers and the public are dealt with professionally and with respect

Maintain safe working conditions and adhere to Occupational Health and Safety regulations





Perform incidental welding repairs on equipment

Will keep track of truck and trailer downtime and let team know when a unit is OOS and when it is back in service

Will take calls and texts from drivers on needed repairs and you will be responsible to prioritize the repairs

From time to time we may do other repairs for other divisions and invoice through TMTOther duties as required

Journeyman''s certificate, Red Seal, or equivalent qualification

Proven mechanical abilities in hydraulics and electrical, including schematics and diagnostics.

Recent experience with routine maintenance operations.

Ability to work independently in remote/bush environments.

Comfortable using computers and learning new software applications.

Clean driver's abstract with no suspensions

Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening

At least two previous supervisory references

Valid Class 1 Drivers license is preferred

Previous experience coordinating fleet maintenance, or heavy equipment is an asset

Solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment

Ability to deal with people tactfully and professionally at all times

Ability to work well under pressure
