Job Description: As a Gas Compression Tech ,you’llput your skills into action by partnering directly with customers to keep their operations running at peak performance.You’lltroubleshoot and oversee repairs on a wide range of Caterpillar gas and diesel engines—both in the shop and out in the field—leveragingyour technical knowledge to build trust, solve challenges, and deliver the reliability our customers depend on. Your work will include:
Field diagnosis and running repairs
Large‑scaleoverhauls and rebuilds
Componentreplacements
Completing required paperwork andmaintainingclear customer communication
Qualifications
Journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanic Certification(Millwright and Automotive also accepted)
Valid class 5 driver’s license with a successful drivers abstractrequiredfor field positions
Minimum2yearsexperienceasaJourneyperson Heavy Duty Mechanic
PreviousCAT general line experience including troubleshooting skills and a good understanding of CAT engine and powertrain components
2yearsexperienceon gas engines and compressors
2years experienceoperatinga service truck




Completion, orin the process of completingFinning S-level courses
Team player will have excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
Must be able todemonstratebasic computer skills
Important Details
Various options of location and shifts(throughout Alberta and Northern BC)
Must be able and willing to travel to and from customer sites across our territory
Tooled company truck supplied, hotel & per diem or campwhen travelling
A condition of employment may include the ability to obtain Customer Site access (Drug & Alcohol, fitness testing) and wear a respiratorwhere applicable
