In this permanent part-time role, you will work under the Medical Director and pathologists, focusing on surgical pathology specimens. Your primary responsibilities include dissecting specimens, submitting samples for analysis, and dictating gross descriptions. Key Responsibilities:
• Examine and dissect surgical pathology specimens
• Submit samples for histologic examinations
• Dictate related gross descriptions accurately
• Perform additional tasks as required
• Collaborate with laboratory staff and management
Requirements:
• Pathologists’ Assistant Membership with CAP-ACP
• Current MLT registration with CMLTO (if applicable)
• Experience with Front End Voice Recognition systems
• Extensive experience in surgical pathology preferred
• Recent hospital experience is a plus
