Lee's Donuts started in 1979 as a little mom-and-pop donut shop in the heart of Granville Island Public Market. More than 45 years later, we're still doing what we've always done: making fresh, classic donuts and creating the kind of experience that keeps people coming back.

We've grown a lot since those early days, but we never want to lose what makes Lee's, Lee's.

Great donuts. Good people. Warm hospitality. A little personality. And teams that know how to work hard without making work feel miserable.

We're looking for a Shop Supervisor who can help bring all of that to life.

This is not a sit-in-the-back-and-send-emails kind of leadership role.

You'll be on the floor with the team, serving customers, solving problems, keeping things moving and helping make sure everyone has what they need to have a great shift.

In other words, you're part leader, part coach, part problem solver, and occasionally the person everyone turns to when something weird happens.

What does a Shop Supervisor actually do?

You help run the shift. That means setting the pace, supporting the team and making sure our customers get the kind of experience we want Lee's to be known for.

You'll help open and close the shop, coordinate breaks, keep an eye on product and supplies, handle customer concerns, support training, and step in wherever the team needs you.

Sometimes that means coaching someone through a busy rush.

Sometimes it means jumping on cash.

Sometimes it means restocking boxes at exactly the moment you thought you were caught up.

Leadership is glamorous like that.





You'll also be one of the people helping protect the things that matter to us: product quality, hospitality, cleanliness, consistency and the way people treat each other.

You might be our kind of leader if...

You lead by jumping in, not by pointing. You notice when someone needs help before they have to ask.

You can give clear direction without making people feel small.

You stay calm when the line gets long, the phone is ringing and someone just told you we are almost out of their favourite donut.

You care about standards, but you also understand that people are people.

You know how to have a difficult conversation when you need to, and you know how to recognize someone when they are doing a great job.

You can make decisions, take ownership and figure things out without needing someone to tell you what to do every five minutes.

And ideally, you're the kind of person people actually want to work a shift with.

That last one matters.

What we're looking for

Previous leadership experience in food service, hospitality or retail is preferred. You do not need to have managed a huge team or run an entire store. We are much more interested in whether you know how to lead people well, stay organized and take ownership of a shift.

You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, handling customer concerns,



coaching team members and making decisions when things do not go exactly according to plan.

Experience with cash handling, POS systems, opening or closing procedures, food safety and day-to-day store operations is an asset.

Most importantly, we are looking for someone who is reliable, approachable, confident and willing to learn.

We can teach you the donuts.

Leadership, judgement and how you show up for people? That part matters a lot more.

This is an active, hands-on role. You will spend most of your shift on your feet and working alongside the team.

You will also be responsible for helping maintain Lee's standards around food safety, cleanliness, product quality and customer service.
