We are currently hiring for multiple substitute teaching positions at all three of our campuses in Kindergarten through grade 12. We are expanding our enrollment next year and substitute teachers are always considered for current probationary positions.

POSITIONS: Hiring multiple positions including for elementary generalists and for specialists in: Science, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Math, English, Social Studies, Computer Science, Phys. Ed, Music, OR French
Job Details These are occasional positions, based on the needs for our staff of 80 teachers. Class sizes range from 20-28 students and campuses range from 250-850 students. Substitutes enjoy a great deal of colleague and administrative support in a school setting focused on academics.
As part of a dynamic and growing team, successful applicants will:
- Deliver engaging, structured lessons aligned with AACS’s direct instruction model and a strong emphasis on academic rigour.
- Exhibit excellent classroom management skills by creating a structured learning environment that fosters student confidence, accountability, and high achievement.
- Integrate Indigenous perspectives into teaching and classroom practice in meaningful ways.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure continuity of instruction, contribute to school-wide initiatives, and uphold shared expectations.
- Build positive relationships with students and families, promoting a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom.

General Qualifications
- Bachelor of Education Degree from an accredited institution
- Current Alberta Teaching Certificate (interim or permanent)

- Resume listing specific courses taught and all previous teaching positions
- Recent performance review
- Copy of Alberta Teaching Certificate (interim or permanent) - required. Applicants without a teaching certificate will not be considered
- Successful applicants will be required to provide a recent Criminal Record with Vulnerable Sector Check
