The candidate will be required to assess the site and terrain and drive heavy equipment to perform a combination of felling, slashing, bucking, bunching, and forwarding operations.
The candidate will be expected to assist other logging and forestry workers.
The candidate will be required to write daily basic progress reports.
Job Requirements The candidate should be fluent in English language.
The candidate must have a Registered Apprenticeship certificate or equivalent experience.
Candidate having experience is an asset.




The candidate must have a First Aid Certificate, a Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate, and Heavy Equipment Operator Trade Certification.
The candidate should be a good team player.
The candidate will be required to work long hours in an outdoor environment.
Work setting The candidate must be willing to work in a rural area.
Experience and specialization Type of harvesting The candidate must be skilled in pulpwood harvesting, saw log harvesting, and logs and poles.
Type of logging The candidate must be knowledgeable about selective cutting.
Equipment and machinery experience The candidate must have prior experience with a Feller buncher, Feller forwarder, Grapple, Loader, Slasher, Treelength forwarder, and Skidder.
Additional information Work conditions and physical capabilities The candidate should have an eye for details.
The candidate must have excellent hand eye coordination.
Own tools/equipment The candidate must have steel-toed safety boots, a hard hat, safety glasses/goggles, gloves, and ear plugs.
