Become a vital part of the community as a Cultural Resource Social Worker in Abbotsford for an 18-month term. This role focuses on culturally appropriate services and strong relational skills.
The Resource Social Worker position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or related fields. You will bring at least three years of human services experience, along with outstanding communication and relationship-building abilities. This role emphasizes collaboration with Indigenous communities and offers opportunities to develop professionally while working in a supportive team setting.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage placement requests for children in care
• Coordinate family and out-of-region placements
• Support caregivers in implementing permanent plans
• Evaluate and train foster parents
• Liaise with social workers on placement issues
Requirements:
• Bachelor of Social Work Degree or equivalent
• Three years of experience in human services
• Delegation training in B.C. or willingness to complete
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License
