Job Description: In an setting that supports continuous improvement and under the management of the Communicable Diseases/Sexual Health Program Nursing Manager and Supervisor, this employee provides Public Health STI Clinic services to the Community. The employee is expected to make decisions made on sound assessments,



according to accepted policies and standards of the Communicable Disease/Sexual Health Program.

Human Resources Exemption: No

Licenses

Valid Class 5 Saskatchewan driver's license without restrictions

Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certificate (CPR)

Experience

Minimum of one-year related experience in sexually transmitted infections, obtained in a clinical setting or through contact tracing.

Relevant work experience in infectious disease clinic, or harm reduction program working with high-risk behaviors clients for a minimum of one year would be acceptable.

Strong knowledge of prevention, transmission and treatment of communicable diseases, particularly of sexually transmitted and blood borne diseases is required.

Education

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)

Course credits in public health nursing are required

Knowledge & Abilities

Good knowledge of principles, techniques and practices governing public health nursing

Good knowledge of needs of healthy and unwell individuals

Knowledge of immunization principles, procedures, ...
