Job Description Summary Are you a detail oriented person who likes working in a dynamic team environment? As a Manufacturing Technician on the Finished Goods team, you will be critical to complete the manufacturing process to prepare products and materials for our global customers. Working as a Manufacturing Technician at STEMCELL Technologies you will work collaboratively with other groups in Manufacturing and other departments to meet the demands of Canada’s largest biotech company. This entry level opportunity is great for someone looking to grow their career, and gain valuable laboratory experience. Please note that typical working hours are Monday through Friday from 11:00am - 7:00pm PST. Overtime and weekend shifts may be required based on business needs.
Job Description Duties and Responsibilities Identify, set up, and operate production equipment, including equipment used for product packaging and label printing, such as torque, sleeving, and labeling machines
Set up, calibrate, and operate specialized production equipment to manufacture finished products
Troubleshoot issues with production equipment as they arise
Assist in developing and implementing new processes, as well as streamlining workflows, participation in 5S activities, and continuous improvement suggestions
Follow written procedures to complete the manufacturing of regulated and non-regulated products, as well as identify and monitor equipment operation problems and notify Facilities department as required
Knowledge and Qualifications A high school diploma, with minimum 5 years of experience in a team environment or equivalent education and experience
Must be able to communicate effectively across a team verbally and through technological platforms such as ERP/SAP
Must be able to work in a fast paced production setting, experience in a Manufacturing environment, pharmaceutical, or the food packaging industry would be an asset




Physical ability to lift 25 - 30 pounds, requiring manual dexterity and versatility
Shift work, weekend work, and overtime may be required

The annual salary for this job ranges from: $56,700.00 - $69,300.00 STEMCELL determines an individual’s pay within the range based on multiple factors including experience, education, job-related skills, and equity within the team or organization. For jobs that are eligible for sales incentives, the range noted above is inclusive of target incentives; actual incentives are based on individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
