The HR & Payroll Coordinator supports the daily operations of the Human Resources department by performing administrative tasks across payroll, total rewards, and general HR functions. This role takes the lead in onboarding/offboarding, member record-keeping, benefits administration, payroll and general member support. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented skilled looking to grow within HR and payroll, with exposure to complex systems, data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration.
Day to day
Support onboarding and offboarding processes, including preparing documentation, conducting orientations, and updating HRIS-Oracle system
Maintain accurate and up-to-date member records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with privacy laws
Process employee lifecycle transactions and HR administrative changes in HRIS-Oracle, Payroll and other HR systems
Provide administrative support to the HR team, such as preparing reports, drafting correspondence, and organizing events
Other duties as assigned
HR & Payroll Data Administration:
Lead payroll data preparation, validation, reconciliation, and timely submission processes including data changes, audits and reconciliation activities
Process employee lifecycle transactions (hires, changes, terminations) under guidance
Support benefits administration, including enrolment, changes, and responding to member inquiries
Assist in audits and compliance checks related to HR processes
Respond to first level member inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, payroll inquiries and escalating complex cases

Essentials:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
Minimum 2 year(s) of experience in Human Resources and Payroll related role is required
Experience with employee benefits administration is an asset
Knowledge of HR processes, employment laws, and best practices
Advances proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) Payroll and HRIS systems
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Experience generating reports and working with employee data
Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism and discretion
Customer-service mindset with a focus on member experience
This is a hybrid position with 2 days a week in the office

Applicable pay range:
$58,271.00 - $87,407.00
Additional factors that may be used to determine your actual pay include your specific skills, years of relevant experience you possess, and other work-related qualifications. Many candidates may start in the bottom half of the applicable pay range, especially those with less experience or qualification.
This position is subject to the terms of DLL’s compensation plans and policies. Further, the position includes all other benefits provided to DLL employees, including healthcare benefits, vacation, sick leave, parental leave, possible discretionary bonuses, and all other benefits that are subject to eligibility.
