Become a Health and Safety Advisor with YMCA Calgary, supporting safe environments for employees and families. This full-time, 12-month contract position emphasizes hazard control and safety training through collaborative efforts.

The Health and Safety Advisor will work closely with the Director of Health, Safety, and Risk to implement robust safety management programs. This role provides guidance to staff and volunteers, ensuring compliance with Alberta OHS standards to enhance safety and well-being. You will also support incident responses and lead safety training initiatives across YMCA Calgary.

Key Responsibilities:
• Advise on hazard identification and injury prevention strategies
• Support audits and inspections for workplace safety




• Conduct investigations and coordinate stakeholder reporting
• Assist with contractor safety management and asset support
• Deliver engaging, face-to-face health and safety training

Requirements:
• 1-2 years of health and safety experience
• Post-secondary education in Health, Safety, or Environment
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail
• Ability to travel between YMCA locations
• Current First Aid with CPR-C certification required
