Job Reports to: Finance Supervisor
Salary: $25.97 - $30.81
SUMMARY
Under the general direction of the Finance Supervisor, provides financial support in accordance with related legislation, CDSB policies and procedures and CDSB Vision & Values.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF POSITION
Cost coding, entering invoices and receipts, processing payments in Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions
Maintaining customer and vendor files, related correspondence and verifying payment information
Preparing reports, compiling data, and monthly, year-to-date and quarterly reports
Assisting in reconciliation of sub-ledgers and general ledger accounts
Assisting in posting and review of client expenses, repayments and reimbursements
Participating in preparation of monthly subsidy reports and supporting documentation
Preparing bank deposits and monthly reconciliations, maintaining PDC and payment records
Preparing bank reconciliations
Assisting in preparation and entry of general journal entries
Assisting in account reconciliation and analysis
Support SAMS function as required

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge of general accounting processes
Applicable experience within an automated accounting environment that includes ACCPAC,
SAMS and Yardi
Knowledge of government finance
Proficient spreadsheet and word processing skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 2-year College Diploma in Business Administration or Accounting or a combination of education and experience acceptable to the employer
