In the role of Senior Transportation Engineer, we'll count on you to:

Serve in the lead technical role on transportation design projects with a focus on transit and road work in Alberta and Western Canada

Perform quality assurance checks on urban streets, major highway and freeway transportation projects.

Serve as a technical resource with recognized authority in the area of highways and roadways design that resolves problems of greater scope and complexity

Assume some project management duties and client development activities as needed

Provide support to other professionals and technicians as needed

Coordinate designs with the rest of the multidisciplinary team including structural, traffic, pavement, environmental, stormwater management, electrical, etc.

Support the development of budgets, schedules, and work plans for various transit, highways, and roadways clients in Western Canada

Perform other duties as needed

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with MicroStation, OpenRoads Developer, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Microsoft Office applications

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree

A minimum of 10 years experience in all aspects of roadway engineering design

Requires professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered. Example: Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license.

Demonstrated leadership skills,



communication skills and ability to work with various teams

Project management skills desirable

Experience should include urban and rural highway interchanges, intersection design, traffic management, transportation planning, site planning, preparation of concept alignments, geometrical layout and CAD base alignment plans

Must have coordinated survey, grading, drainage and utilities and layout of various site items is a plus

An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
