Position Overview
Mercedes-Benz Vancouver is seeking a Parts Advisor to joinour team, reporting directly to the Parts Manager. The Parts Advisor plays acritical role in supporting dealership operations by providing exceptionalservice to both internal technicians and external customers through theaccurate sourcing, selling, and distribution of automotive parts andaccessories. This position contributes to the overall success of the PartsDepartment by maintaining inventory accuracy, supporting effective service operations,and ensuring customers receive timely and professional assistance. Thesuccessful candidate will demonstrate strong product knowledge, attention todetail, and a commitment to delivering an outstanding customer experience in a fast-paced dealership environment
The expectedannual salary for this position is$60,000.00-$68,000.00.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Provideprompt, courteous, and professional service to retail, wholesale, andinternal customers
Assisttechnicians and customers in identifying and sourcing the correctreplacement parts and accessories
Utilizemanufacturer catalogs, electronic parts systems, and other resources toaccurately identify parts requirements
Processparts sales transactions, including preparing invoices, sales orders, andrelated documentation
Receiveand manage telephone, email, and in-person parts inquiries and orders
Monitorinventory levels and assist with inventory control, stock replenishment,and cycle counts
Orderparts from suppliers and manufacturers while tracking backorders anddelivery status
Receive,inspect, and verify incoming shipments for accuracy and completeness
Processreturns, warranty parts, exchanges, and credits in accordance with companyand manufacturer policies
Recommendalternative parts or solutions when requested items are unavailable
Promoteand sell parts, accessories, and related products to maximize customersatisfaction and departmental performance
Maintainaccurate records of inventory transactions and customer orders
Collaborateclosely with Service, Sales, and other dealership departments to ensureoperational efficiency
Maintaina clean, organized,
and safe parts department environment
Staycurrent on product knowledge, manufacturer updates, and dealershipprocedures
Performother related duties as assigned by management
Qualifications Required
Highschool diploma or equivalent required
Minimum5 years of experience in an automotive parts department required
Experiencewith dealership parts operations and inventory management considered anasset
Knowledgeof automotive systems, components, and replacement parts required
Experienceusing electronic parts catalogs and dealership management systemspreferred
Strongcustomer service and relationship-building skills
Excellentverbal and written communication abilities
Abilityto accurately identify, source, and recommend automotive parts
Strongorganizational skills with a high level of attention to detail
Abilityto prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-pacedenvironment
Proficiencywith computerized inventory, parts catalog, and dealership managementsystems
Strongproblem-solving and decision-making abilities
Abilityto work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
Professional,dependable, and customer-focused attitude
Legallyentitled to work in Canada
