Our client, a well-established and growing oil & gas producer, is seeking an experienced Production Accountant to join their Calgary-based team. This opportunity is ideal for a senior production accounting professional who enjoys taking ownership of full-cycle production and revenue accounting activities while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.

Your Success Will Be Defined By Your Ability To

Complete full-cycle production and revenue accounting for operated and non-operated assets in Alberta and Saskatchewan.

Maintain and update master data within Metrix, including wells, market masters, royalties, and processing fees.

Review fuel, flare, and vent emissions on a monthly basis.

Perform monthly accounts receivable reviews and reconciliations.

Review and process production and revenue amendments as required.

Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely reporting.

Respond to inquiries from government agencies, partners, royalty owners, and internal stakeholders.

Investigate and resolve system issues and data discrepancies within Metrix.





Support internal and external audits relating to production, revenue, transportation, and royalties.

Provide guidance and mentorship to colleagues while contributing to a collaborative team workplace.

Your strengths include:

10+ years of production and revenue accounting experience within the oil & gas industry.

Strong understanding of production accounting principles and industry regulations.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a dynamic business environment.

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.

Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

Advanced proficiency with Excel, Metrix, and Qbyte FM.

Working knowledge of field data capture systems, regulatory reporting requirements, and production accounting best practices.

CAPPA certification and post-secondary education are considered strong assets.
