Work location: Surrey, BC (Hybrid; expected in office at least one day per week)
Compensation: CAD $110,000-$140,000 plus options, based on your skills, qualifications and level of relevant experience

Who we’re looking for? We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and execute strategic initiatives, primarily within the electrical utility sector. Based in Vancouver, BC , this role requires a blend of technical expertise, strong contract management skills, and proficiency in modern project management tools and AI technologies. The ideal candidate will be comfortable traveling to client sites and working closely with engineering teams to ensure successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities: Project Execution: Manage end-to-end project execution, including defining scope, establishing timelines, and monitoring budgets.
Stakeholder Alignment: Bridge the gap between business and technical teams, capturing business requirements while ensuring alignment with technical capabilities and constraints.
Agile Leadership: Facilitate the software development lifecycle using Agile methodologies, driving daily standups, planning sessions, and retrospectives across multiple teams.
Stakeholder & Risk Management: Proactively identify and mitigate project roadblocks.



Ensure clear communication and alignment cross-functionally with engineering teams and external utility clients.
Contract Lifecycle Management: Oversee the drafting, negotiation, and execution of essential project documentation, such as Statements of Work (SOWs), Master Services Agreements (MSAs), and change orders. This responsibility excludes involvement in pricing discussions or final contract closure.
AI Integration: Leverage and integrate current AI tools into daily workflows to optimize task management, automate reporting, and enhance overall project delivery.
Change Management: Help navigate and guide the integration of new tools or processes within the organization and client environments.
Travel: Travel as required to client sites or project locations via driving, transit, or flying (within Canada, the United States, and potentially Europe).
Required Qualifications: Location: Must be based in Lower Mainland, BC, Canada.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Computer, or Software), Computer Science, or Mathematics. Technical Diploma (BCIT, etc.) acceptable with relevant work experience.

Experience: 2 to 5 years of project management experience in a technical domain.
Technical Proficiency: Proven expertise in Agile development methodologies and modern project management software (e.g., Jira).
AI Fluency: Deep proficiency in utilizing current AI productivity tools.
Contracting Skills: Strong contracting knowledge with the ability to draft and execute SOWs, MSAs, and change orders.
Travel Requirements: Must possess a valid driver’s license.




Must hold a valid Canadian or US passport and be able to travel internationally.
Must be willing and able to travel as project demands require.

Nice-to-haves: Industry Experience: Previous experience working within the electrical utilities sector.
Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with regulatory compliance and safety standards specific to the energy and electrical utility industry.
Professional Certifications: Active project management or Agile certifications are highly desirable (e.g., PMP, PMI-ACP, CSM/PSM, PRINCE2, or Cert.APM).
Specialized Training: Certifications in Change Management (e.g., Prosci) or professional engineering designations (e.g., P.Eng.) are a strong plus.
