The OpportunityAs an Event Coordinator, you play a key role in bringing the Techo-Bloc brand to life through live experiences. You lead the planning and delivery of high-impact events that educate the hardscape community, showcase our products, and strengthen relationships with contractors, Techo-Bloc distributors, and partners across Canada and the United States. This role is built for someone who owns their projects end-to-end: someone who doesn't wait to be told what to do, but instead brings ideas to the table, helps define strategy, and drives execution with precision and initiative. You'll take the lead on our internal road shows, loyalty events, and trade show presence, while building the kind of vendor and venue relationships that make flawless events possible. You'll work closely with a high-performing team to ensure every event is organized, on time, on brand, and executed to a high standard. You'll travel primarily during Q1 and collaborate with internal teams and external partners to deliver promotional and educational events that drive engagement, adoption, and growth.
What You’ll Be Responsible For You own the planning and execution of events from start to finish, leading coordination across timelines, budgets, vendors, and on-site operations. This is not a support role. You'll be expected to take initiative, surface ideas, and bring structure to ambiguity.
You will:
Take full ownership of the event projects assigned to you, from concept to post-event reporting
Build and maintain robust relationships with venues and vendors, the cornerstone of how we deliver exceptional events
Lead multiple events simultaneously while maintaining a high level of organization and attention to detail
Contribute meaningfully to how our events are conceived and improved, not just executed
Key Responsibilities Lead the planning and execution of our internal events portfolio (road shows, loyalty events, and trade shows)
and support the delivery of broader promotional and educational event strategies from start to finish
Proactively propose ideas, help define event strategies, and challenge the status quo to elevate the guest experience
Own vendor and venue relationships: negotiate pricing, terms, and agreements; manage BEOs, contracts, invoicing, and logistics end-to-end
Manage multiple event-related projects simultaneously, ensuring scope, timelines, deliverables, and expectations are clearly defined and tracked
Use project management tools to plan, monitor, and communicate progress, timelines, and dependencies
Source, evaluate, and select suppliers and service providers within approved budgets
Collaborate closely with internal teams (campaign managers, content creators, social media managers, marketing automation experts, project coordinators, etc.) and external partners (freelancers and agencies)
Proactively identify risks, bottlenecks, and gaps, and act quickly to resolve them before they become problems
Implement contingency plans as needed to mitigate risk
Own key administrative and coordination tasks, including stakeholder communications, payment schedules, BEOs, and travel bookings
Lead on-site operations for in-person events in Canada and the U.S.
Conduct post-event analysis and reporting, evaluating performance against key metrics and objectives
A Day in the Life No two days are ever the same, but your day might include:
Negotiating a venue contract or reviewing a BEO to make sure every detail is locked in
Coordinating materials and on-site needs with internal teams (graphics, merchandise, architectural teams)
Pitching a new idea to improve the attendee experience at an upcoming road show
Managing multiple projects and priorities while staying organized and proactive
Solving challenges in real time to ensure flawless execution
If you enjoy a fast pace, shifting priorities, and being the person who makes things happen and who helps shape how they happen, you'll feel right at home.
