CNC Machinist – 3 & 4 Axis
Location: Woodbridge, ON
Shift: Afternoon Shift
Pay: $24.00–$30.00/hour + 5% shift premium
Employment: Full-Time, Permanent
Fuze HR is currently hiring CNC Machinists for a growing precision manufacturing company in Woodbridge, ON.
This is an excellent prospect for machinists who enjoy setup work, variety, and precision machining rather than repetitive high-volume production. You will work with 3 and 4-axis CNC vertical mills, producing new precision components for demanding industries including aerospace, defence, nuclear, and medical.
We are looking for machinists who can confidently set up and operate their own CNC machine. Programming is not required for this position.
What You'll Be Doing
Set up and operate 3 and 4-axis CNC vertical milling machines
Perform machine setups independently based on job requirements
Load and unload existing CNC programs for setup and production
Set tools, fixtures, work offsets, and components for machining
Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and job documentation
Use precision measuring equipment to verify parts and maintain required tolerances
Monitor machining operations and make necessary adjustments
Inspect completed components to ensure quality requirements are met
Work independently on your assigned machine while contributing to a collaborative machining team
Manufacture precision components for aerospace, defence, nuclear, medical, and other advanced industries
Follow established quality, safety, and production procedures
What We're Looking For
3+ years of CNC machining experience
Hands‑on experience with CNC setup and operation
Experience operating 3-axis and/or 4-axis vertical CNC mills
Fanuc or Haas control experience is required
Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, fixtures, and work offsets
Ability to read engineering drawings and work to tight tolerances
Comfortable working in a job shop / high‑mix precision machining environment
Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and troubleshoot machining/setup issues
Good English communication skills
Strong Assets
Previous aerospace or defence machining experience
Previous job shop / custom precision machining experience
Familiarity with Mastercam
CNC machining diploma, certificate, apprenticeship, or other formal machining training
Experience producing complex, tight‑tolerance components
Please note: This is a setup and operation position. Candidates are not required to create CNC programs.
Afternoon Shift
Monday–Thursday: 4:30 PM – 2:00 AM
Friday: 3:15 PM – 7:15 PM
Afternoon shift employees receive a 5% shift premium on top of their hourly rate.
Training will typically take place on the day shift before transitioning to the regular afternoon schedule.
Compensation & Benefits
$24.00–$30.00/hour, based on machining knowledge and experience
5% afternoon shift premium
Overtime paid after 40 hours
Company benefits after 3 months
2–3 weeks of vacation, depending on experience
