Become a Community Support Worker with Island Crisis Care Society to assist vulnerable adults in a supportive workplace. Your role will focus on life skills training, emotional support, and community involvement.
In this vital position, you are responsible for creating therapeutic environments and implementing personal service plans. You will engage in program planning, provide life skills training, and support clients in achieving greater independence. Your work aligns with ICCS's mission to reflect compassion and care in the community.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct assessments and develop personal service plans
• Facilitate life skills training such as cooking and budgeting
• Assist clients with daily living and social skills
• Provide emotional support to clients and families
• Maintain health and safety standards in all activities
Requirements:
• Diploma in a related human/social service field
• At least one year of relevant experience
• Standard First Aid with CPR-C certification
• Naloxone Administration certification
• Successful Criminal Record Review for Vulnerable People
