Join Northumberland County as a full-time Operator 1, where you will handle heavy equipment and materials across Cobourg Depot and Morganston Depot. This role includes a unique shift rotation of six months of nights and six months of days.

As an Operator 1 within the Public Works Department, you will be responsible for hauling, loading, and unloading materials, as well as operating complex equipment like tandem snowplows and loaders. Daily equipment inspections and defect reports will form a key part of your responsibilities. Ideal candidates possess strong leadership skills and enjoy teamwork in a deadline-driven setting.

Key Responsibilities:
• Haul materials and supplies across depots
• Load and unload heavy materials efficiently

• Inspect and service equipment, reporting defects
• Collaborate with team members on project tasks

Requirements:
• Minimum Grade 12 education or equivalent
• Class “A” or “D” License with Z endorsement
• Clean driver's abstract required
• Experience with dump trucks and loaders preferred
• Criminal background check upon hire
