In-Office Counselling Part Time Kamloops, BC $42.47 - $53.67 CAD per hour

As a Clinical Coordinator , you will lead and support therapeutic counselling services for youth and adults within the In Office Counseling Program. This role blends clinical leadership and direct service delivery , ensuring care is person-centered, culturally responsive, and grounded in evidence-informed practices. You will provide one-on-one therapeutic support to individuals and families while also leading and coordinating the INOC counselling team. This role fosters a team-oriented, accountable, and dignity-informed environment that supports both client growth and team excellence.

Key responsibilities: Counselling (Family/Individual Counsellor Role)

Complete comprehensive assessments to understand client needs and risks.

Develop and deliver individualized support plans for individuals and families.

Provide evidence-based, dignity-informed counselling and crisis stabilization.

Facilitate individual and group sessions and coordinate referrals to community resources.

Work collaboratively with social workers, health professionals, and community partners.





Maintain accurate and confidential case notes, plans, and progress documentation.

Provide short-term, evidence-based counselling services as part of the INOC program.

Oversee daily program operations, ensuring high-quality, compliant service delivery.

Lead reporting, data collection, quality-improvement, and adherence to program policies.

Support financial stewardship by monitoring routine program expenditures.

Supervise, mentor, and support counselling staff; facilitate team meetings and positive team culture.

Co-lead hiring, onboarding, and ongoing staff training and development.

Collaborate with the Clinical Director to enhance program design and integrate emerging best practices.

Represent the INOC program internally and within the community.

EDUCATION, TRAINING, and EXPERIENCE:

Master's Degree in Counselling Psychology or Social Work (preferred)

Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or related social science field (required)

Registered Social Worker designation with the BC College of Social Workers is an asset

Minimum 3 years of experience in counselling individuals and families

At least 1 year of supervision, mentorship, or coordination experience.

Or an equivalent combination of education, training or experience

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, and ABILITIES:

Strong ability to build trust and strong professional relationships with clients and colleagues.

Expertise in risk assessment, crisis intervention, and safety planning.

Proficiency in a range of counselling approaches, including Response-Based Practice, SFBT, MI, DBT, CBT, Narrative Therapy, and Family Systems Therapy.

Solid understanding of Trauma-Informed, Strength-Based, Anti-Violent, and Resilience-Oriented practices.

Strong knowledge of community resources and referral processes in Kamloops.

Excellent communication, documentation, and time-management skills.





Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a quick-paced environment.

Commitment to ethical practice, confidentiality, and professional integrity.

Leadership skills to coach, support, and guide a counselling team.

Experience with case management, data collection, and reporting.

Effective conflict-resolution abilities and a dedication to continuous learning

REQUIREMENTS

Following training is required and provided to the successful candidate free of charge. Existing certification is an asset: SafeTalk, CPR-C, Mandt- RC, Privacy and Information Sharing, Anti-Bullying, and Harassment.

Background checks through the BC Ministry of Public Safety and Solicitor General is required.

This job requires union membership with a 1.85% union due deducted from pay.

STATUS: Part-Time
SCHEDULE: Total27.5 hrs/wk - Monday to Friday, 8:30 am-4:00 pm

Family/Individual Counsellor- 20 hrs/wk

Program Coordinator - 7.5 hrs/wk

Availability to participate in an after-hours on-call rotation to respond to after-hours emergencies.

REPORTS To: Clinical Director
COMPENSATION:
This position is a blended role. The compensation is structured to reflect the distribution of duties

20 hours are compensated at Grid 14p ($42.47 - $53.67 per hour) for direct counselling delivery

7.5 hours are compensated at Grid 15p ($45.60 - $56.78. per hour) for clinical coordination and supervision
