Job Description EOSOL Group is seeking a Port HSE Qualified to develop, implement, and maintain health, safety, environmental, and security programs within port and terminal operations.
The professional will ensure regulatory compliance, promote a strong "Zero Incident" safety culture, perform site risk assessments, and oversee safety during heavy-lift operations, vessel handling, equipment maintenance, and contractor activities for wind energy components.
Key Responsibilities Conduct workplace safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments across port operations.
Lead incident investigations, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and corrective action management.
Oversee permit-to-work programs (LOTO, lockout/tagout, confined space, work at height, hot work).
Monitor compliance with company safety standards and regulatory requirements.
Verify contractor safety performance, training and certifications.
Provide HSE oversight during vessel loading/unloading, cargo handling, heavy lifting, and rigging tasks.
Deliver safety briefings, toolbox talks, and environmental awareness sessions.
Maintain accurate HSE documentation, logs, and regulatory compliance reports.

Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety preferred,
or 5+ years of practical experience managing HSE systems.
3+ years of HSE experience in port operations, marine terminals, heavy logistics, or project cargo.
Experience conducting incident investigations and Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
Knowledge of heavy lifting operations and basic rigging & slinging principles.
Strong understanding of occupational safety, environmental, and port regulations.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HSE management software.
English required.
French required for Quebec
Working Hours & Conditions Schedule determined by vessel unloading schedules
Availability to support emergency response activities outside normal business hours when required.
Physical ability to work outdoors, walk long distances, climb stairs, and board vessels.
Certifications / Training Preferred credentials and training:
CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or CRSP (Canadian Registered Safety Professional)
ASP (Associate Safety Professional)
First Aid / CPR / AED
ASP Quebec Construction Training – mandatory for Quebec
Freelance Terms Independent Contractor / Freelance engagement.
The professional must be able to issue invoices for services rendered.
