Intercity Packers is looking for a Full Time Maintenance Supervisor to join our team in Edmonton, AB. The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that all building systems, equipment, and facilities in their charge operate at peak efficiency. They will resolve issues that arise in order to keep both building maintenance activities running smoothly or take care of any repairs needed on-site if there's an emergency. Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm Location: 13506 159 Street, Edmonton, AB T5V 0C6
Duties and Responsibilities Plan, prioritize, assign, supervise, review, and participate in all tasks related to facility maintenance.
Develop methods, schedules, and workflows for facility maintenance.
Schedule and guide the team for daily maintenance tasks.
Routinely inspect various elements of buildings and grounds (e.g., elevators, fire alarms, security cameras, sprinkler systems).
Review inspection and repair reports and observe progress of work on major overhauls to evaluate efficiency and work quality.
Review operational manuals of ALL food-grade equipment and prepare the team for preventative maintenance.
Maintain preventative maintenance standards for facilities and equipment.
Ensure entries in the preventative maintenance application (Maximo) are completed, reviewed, and verified.
Review spreadsheets related to maintenance (energy tracking, recycling, metrics, action incentives, etc.) targeting abnormalities and opportunities for improvements.
Monitor and direct the repair of machinery, electrical, or plumbing systems.
Plan and oversee all repair and installation activities.
Responsibly handle emergency situations or after-hours calls for repair and maintenance.
Take part in developing maintenance policies and standards for the organization.
Work hand in hand with other departments (Safety and HACCP/QA) for maintenance alignment.
Support the team during safety inspections and audits.
Ensure health and safety policies are complied with.
Plan and execute production to fulfill all regulatory as well as SQF requirements.
Coordinate training sessions in facility maintenance, safety procedures, and methods.
Conduct huddles for team development and employee engagement exercises.
Manage relationships with contractors and service providers.
Keep maintenance logs and report on daily activities.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Qualifications Must have at least 3 years of facility maintenance experience.
Having a technical degree in an electrical discipline (Red Seal) with 3-5 years of experience in managing a maintenance team, preferably within a food manufacturing environment, will be an asset.
Electronic knowledge is essential (ie. working with boards, PLCs, etc).
Boiler operation tickets are an asset.
Able to work under pressure within a deadline-driven and fast-paced workplace.
Good communication, interpersonal, team-building, and problem-solving skills are desired attributes.
