Join RBC's Group Risk Management team as Director, Business Continuity Risk Management (BCRM) for Canada & Caribbean. In this second line of defense role, you will lead the implementation and oversight of our BCRM program across the region. You'll direct a team to strengthen operational resilience, ensure regulatory compliance, embed robust risk management practices, and partner with business leaders to drive program effectiveness and adoption.Job DescriptionWhat will you do?Lead Your Team & Drive StrategyDirect and mentor a team responsible for BCRM program execution across Canada and Caribbean regionsContribute to and execute the BCRM vision, strategy, and operating model specific to your regionEnsure alignment with RBC Enterprise BCRM Policy & Standards and regulatory requirementsIdentify emerging operational risks and direct research into areas of elevated riskBuild a high-performing culture focused on operational excellence and risk awarenessLead Oversight & ControlProvide independent oversight and challenge at senior levels, a critical responsibility of our second line of defenseManage comprehensive monitoring, oversight, and control programs covering all key BCRM requirementsConduct thematic reviews and policy adherence monitoring assessments to drive continuous improvementOversee remediation of identified issues with accountability and rigorProvide oversight on the design and effectiveness of internal control environmentProvide Expert Advice & InsightsAdvise senior management and executives on BCRM risk mitigation strategies and emerging industry trendsRepresent RBC with regulators as a trusted business continuity risk management subject matter expertGenerate actionable risk insights and reporting that directly inform executive decision-makingSupport implementation of operational risk management initiatives across the regionBuild Stakeholder PartnershipsFoster collaborative relationships with business leaders to drive program adoption and effectivenessEnable first line of defense in establishing appropriate operational risk appetite aligned with strategic objectivesChampion risk management behaviors and accountability across all lines of defenseEngage ExternallyParticipate in industry committees, forums, and BCRM associations to stay current with leading practicesWhat do you need to succeed?Must Have:Proven track record of leading and developing high-performing teamsProven BCRM experience in financial services or highly regulated industries, with demonstrated success in large-scale global matrix environmentsDeep understanding of risk management frameworks, control environments, and governance structuresIn-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements (OSFI) and compliance expectationsAbility to balance competing priorities with exceptional time management and results orientationStrong analytical and data-driven mindset with the ability to translate data into strategic insightsExcellent critical thinking skills with demonstrated ability to challenge assumptions at senior levelsStrong interpersonal, relationship-building,
