ABOUT THE PROSPECT

NL Health Services – Western Zone is seeking a full-time Clinical Assistant to join the Hospitalist Program at Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook, NL. Western Memorial Regional Hospital is a newly constructed, state-of-the-art acute care facility that opened in June 2024. The hospital serves as a 164-bed regional referral centre for Western Newfoundland, delivering a broad range of secondary and select tertiary services to a population of approximately 80,000 residents.

QUALIFICATIONS

- Eligible for licensure as a Clinical Assistant with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Newfoundland and Labrador (www.cpsnl.ca)
- Must satisfy privileging and credentialing requirements of NL Health Services Western Zone

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES





- Work as a member of the Hospitalist team to assist physicians with patient rounds, admissions, and discharges
- Perform other duties as required within the scope and qualifications of the Clinical Assistant licence
- Provide after-hours, weekend, and statutory holiday on-call coverage as assigned
- Support person- and family-centered care; promote patient and worker safety by integrating safety into work practices, identifying risks, and implementing improvements

REMUNERATION

Remuneration will be in accordance with the Memorandum of Agreement for salaried physicians in Newfoundland and Labrador. The successful candidate will have access to paid leave, medical and dental insurance, and pension contributions.

Available Incentives:

- Physician Signing Bonus — CAD 150,000
- Come Home Incentive — CAD 50,000 (if eligibility criteria are met)
